Today I found 15 cents . . .. 1 dime & 5 pennies.

I found all the change at lunch, where I joined my friend Tara at The Woodlands House, a local Chinese restaurant. I spotted two pennies sitting in a bed of flowers as I walked in and upon closer inspection I found another three pennies and the dime.

Totals for the day: 15 cents
Race Totals: $512.04

Hi Chris. Bailey over at the change race blog had a link over to your blog as well as Bailey suggested I check out your blog. I have read some of the posts and am amazed at your total. As a frugality and simplicity blogger, finding money is well just plain old intriguing. For a novice like myself, any thoughts on the 'how to find change'. My first effort yesterday yielded .30 in a parking lot. Thanks for sharing if you would like and my email is simplicityinkansas@gmail.com.

Thank you Sir!

Kansas Simplicity:

Thanks for stopping by to visit. When Bailey and I started racing to $100 I would always go out of my way to find change. Probably the money that I spent on gas didn't equal the change found, but at the time it was a race to $100, nothing more. Now that the race is over I try to find change without going too far out of my way. Car washes are a great place for lost change. When I'm driving down the road and see one I'll generally stop. Other good places are at the base of cash registers in almost any store (change also falls into gum displays at most gas stations and convenience stors), coin retur slots of various machines, grocery store lines, and almost any high traffic area. Basically, I always write where I find my change so just read a few entries and you will get a general idea.

Good luck with your change searching and please keep me posted.
