Monday, October 17, 2005 (One Strike Away)

Today I found 2 cents. . . both pennies.

Fuck Pujols. The two pennies were both found at the Harris County Court House, where I spent a forgettable day that later became even more forgettable.

Totals for the day: 2 cents
Race Totals: $183.27

Sorry about the tough loss, but you got beat this time by their best hitter. And Pujolz is a good guy.

Would you rather be where you are or where the Phillies are?

Honestly, it depends. Missing the playoffs on the last day of the season is tough. If we don't make the World Series (after being within one strike) that would be tougher. I would rather have not made it than to get that close and choke it away.

The nature of the loss makes it so tough. If Berkman had not hit the go ahead homerun and we had lost the game that would have been ok. But, to go ahead and lose makes it worse.

All is forgiven if they win 1 of the next 2. If not, I personally would have rather seen the Phillies make it and be sitting home.
