Today I found 15 cents. . .1 dime and 5 pennies. I also got fooled on an April Fools joke by Bailey.
I found two cents this morning at a KFC drive-thru, once cent on the ground at a Shell gas station, one cent on the ground in a parking lot by Academy Sports & Outdoors, one cent at a car wash, and 10 cents (one dime) on the ground at another Shell gas station.
So this evening I get home to find out that Bailey has found $22 in change (dropped rolls of quarters) at a local bank. It was posted in his blog on the Internet so it had to be true. I was not pleased with him keeping coins that I felt he should have turned in. Alas, it was all an April Fools joke and I fell for it. Is it possible that the Internet has let me astray?
Oh well, at least I can go to bed knowing if I forward e-mails to five people I will get a gift certificate to Border’s Books, that it is possible to wake up in a bathtub with no kidneys, when reaching for gas you can get stuck with a needle and get AIDS, some kid in Germany who has cancer will get a nickel for every e-mail that I forward, and not forwarding e-mails will bring me 10 years of bad luck. Then again, after today I just don’t know.
Totals for the day: 15 cents
Race Totals: $33.64
